Discussion 1
Due
to the rapid increase in technology, we sometimes find ourselves lost in it
all. With all the new kinds coming out every single day, the chances of us
keeping up with it seem less and less likely. There are many new technologies
coming out in the field of teaching that seems to scare the majority of
teachers due to their age. They believe that their way of teaching is
traditional and does not see the benefit in learning the new technologies just
because they are set in their ways. But, we need to use these technologies
because we need people that know how to come up using it so we may advance. In
order to keep up with increasing technologies in my life, I would do a varying
amount of things. First, I would attend seminars about the new technologies and
learn their usefulness in the classroom. Another resource is the internet. I
could use the internet in order to research creative ways in which to use the
assets that we have available to us. Lastly, I would outsource to the children
that I have. The kids are coming into a modernized world and seem to be
grasping it quicker than the majority of adults. If we could channel their
intelligence, we could not only learn more but we could also show the kids ways
in which they can work together in order to achieve a higher goal. All of these
are ways in which I would keep informed about the increasing technologies of
our world.
